 Kamerion Wimbley – DE (2002-05)

Kamerion Wimbley was a very good defensive lineman for the Noles. There are other players who just missed the list that could’ve been ranked here instead, but I went with Wimbley.

In his four seasons he had a 108 tackles, 23.5 TFL, 12 sacks, 2 FF, and 31 quarterback hurries.

Wimbley was a Pro Football Weekly 1st team All-American in 2005 and a 2nd team All-ACC. He was the 13th overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.

 Brodrick Bunkley – DT (2002-05)

In Brodrick Bunkley’s Senior season in Tallahassee, the big defensive lineman had 66 tackles, 25 TFL, 9 sacks, 1 FF, and 15 QBH.

Out of all the Florida State defensive linemen, he was commanding double teams and was named an All-ACC selection in 2005.

 Everette Brown – DE (2005-08)

Everette Brown was a 2nd team AP All-American in 2008. He had 13.5 for the Seminoles that season.

He finished his career in Tallahassee with 100 tackles, 46.5 TFL, 23.0 sacks, and 5 FF in three seasons with the Noles.

 Alonzo Jackson – DE (1999-2002)

Alonzo Jackson had 13 sacks as a Senior for the Noles.

In that same tear, 2002, he was named a 1st team All-ACC selection.

For his career, Jackson had 125 tackles, 32.5 TFL, 23 sacks, 4 FF, and 42 QBH.

 Odell Haggins – DT (1985-89)

For his career in Tallahassee, Haggins registered 278 tackles, 16.5 sacks, and 3 FF.

  Bjorn Werner – DE (2010-12)

“Von Striker” came into Florida State in Jimbo Fisher’s first season as the teams head football coach.

A native of Berlin, Germany, Werner proved trouble for offensive tackles.

In 2012, the German import was named ACC Defensive Player-of-the-year and was a 1st team All-ACC selection, as well as an AP 1st team All-American and NCAA Unanimous all-American.

That season saw him rack up 42 tackles, 18 TFL, 13 sacks, and 1 FF.

In the three seasons Werner played for Florida State he had 99 tackles, 35 TFL, 23.5 sacks, 3 FF, 13 quarterback hurries, and 1 interception.

 DeMarcus Walker – DE (2013-16)

DeMarcus Walker has the third highest sack total in school history. He also is tied for 2nd for total sacks in a season for the Florida State Seminoles.

Walker was a 2nd team All-ACC selection in 2015, but 2016 would be a much greater season for the Noles defensive lineman.

He had 68 tackles, 21.5 TFL, 16 sacks, and 3 FF in 2016. Walker was the best of all the defensive linemen for FSU, singlehandedly causing havoc in opponents backfields.

His disrupting play on Saturdays at Doak and on the road earned him ACC Defensive Player-of-the-Year and a 1st team All-ACC nod.

He was also named as a Consensus All-American.

While wearing the Garnet & Gold, Walker had 182 tackles, 45 TFL, 28.5 sacks, 8 FF, and 1 interception.

 Derrick Alexander – DE (1991-94)

Derrick Alexander was the best of the FSU defensive linemen when they won the school's 1st national championship in 1993

Derrick Alexander was a different breed than your typical defensive end. He didn’t have big sack numbers, what Alexander did was stop the run and defend the pass from his position.

Alexander only had 12 sacks during his Florida State career but that didn’t really matter.

In 1993, he was named a 1st team All-ACC and an AP 3rd team All-American in the Noles national championship season. He led the Noles in tackles with 11 in the title game.

Derrick was named 1st team All-ACC again in 1994, along with winning the ACC Defensive Player-of-the-year award.

This time he was named an AP 1st team All-American.

In his career he totaled 212 tackles, 22 TFL, 12 sacks, 1 FF, 1 INT

 Jamal Reynolds – DE (1997-00)

Jamal Reynolds had three sacks of Michael Vick in the 2000 National Championship Game played at the Sugar Bowl in Georgia.

Reynolds was a 6’3, 260 pound defensive end who had 4.4 speed. His sacks on Vick were him chasing the athletic quarterback, not just taking him down in the pocket.

He was a 2nd team All-ACC in 1999. In 2000 he was 1st team All-ACC and a 1st team All-American for the Noles.

He won the Lombardi trophy in 2000 too. An award for the top player in the nation. One of them at least.

Overall, Jamal Reynolds had 170 tackles, 15 TFL, 23.5 sacks, 4 FF during his time playing in Tallahassee.

 Darnell Dockett – DT (1999-03)

Darnell Dockett was a three time All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection. He was named to the 2nd team in 2000 and the 1st team in 2001 & 2003.

Dockett had 248 tackles, 65 TFL, 10.5 sacks, 4 FF, 51 quarterback hurries during his tenure with the Seminoles.

 Andre Wadsworth – DE/NG (1994-97)

In both 1995 & 1996, Andre Wadsworth was named as a 2nd team All-ACC selection.

What he did in 1997 is why he is so high on this list and the reason he was the 3rd overall pick in the 1998 NFL Draft.

He had 57 tackles, 19 TFL, 16 sacks, 1 FF.

He was an All-ACC 1st team selection and the ACC Defensive Player-of-the-year, He was so dominant that he also won the ACC Player-of-the-year award.

A 1st team AP All-American in 1997 and a Consensus All-American.

Wadsworth career stats at Florida State read 233 tackles, 33 TFL, 23 sacks, 5 FF.

 Corey Simon – DT (1996-99)

Corey Simon was one of the best defensive linemen to play for Florida State

Corey Simon was a 1st team All-ACC selection for the Noles in both 1998 & 1999.

He was also named a 1st team All-American in both of those seasons too. A Consensus All-American in 1999.

He was a major force in the middle of the defense of the 1999 National Championship team.

Simon had 193 tackles, 44 TFL, 11 sacks, 3 FF, 1 int in his time in Tallahassee.

Reinard Wilson – DE/DT (1993-96)

Reinard Wilson has more sacks than any other FSU defensive lineman

Reinard Wilson has more career sacks than any other FSU player all-time.

He received back-to-back All-ACC 1st team honors in 1995 & 1996.

in 1996, Wilson was an AP 1st team All-American and Consenus All-American.

He had sack totals of 2, 11, 9, and 13.5 to give him his school record of 35.5 sacks.

Wilson registered 105 tackles, 22 TFL, 13.5 sacks, 3 FF in 1996 alone.

For his career he recorded 234 tackles, 27 TFL, 35.5 sacks, 7 FF, 2 INT.

Peter Boulware – DE (1993-96)

Peter Boulware had tremendous college and NFL careers. He has the FSU record for sacks in a season with 19 in 1996.

He was drafted 4th overall by the NFL for his actions at Florida State.

In 1996, Boulware was the ACC Defensive Player-of-the-year and a 1st team All-conference pick.

He was a Consensus All-American as well as an AP 1st team All-American.

His stats from 1996 read 68 tackles, 20 TFL, 19 sacks, 4 FF.

Peter Boulware had a great career and his numbers prove it, 151 tackles, 28 TFL, 34 sacks, and 7 FF.

 Ron Simmons – NG (1977-80)

Ron Simmons was the greatest of all defensive linemen at FSU

Ron Simmons is the only two time Consensus All-American at FSU (1979-80).

As a freshman he had 12 sacks and 13 FF.

He was a 3 time All-South selection. The 2nd team in 1977 and 1st team in 1978 & 1979.

He was a two time AP 1st team All-American in ’78 & ’79 too.

He is ranked 2nd all-time in FSU history in tackles with 483.

His 12 sacks as a freshman were a record until 1996 when Reinard Wilson and Peter Boulware both topped it. He is still 9th all-time today for sacks in a season and 4th all-time for sacks in a career.

Ron Simmons numbers shake out like this, 383 tackles, 44 TFL, 25 sacks, 17 FF, and 4 blocked kicks.
